For the first time, Sweetwater Estate in the Hunter Valley opens exclusively to host weddings and bespoke celebrations, a private property of exceptional calibre, reserved entirely for your event.
Your day unfolds across a series of beautiful spaces, each chosen for its atmosphere, light and sense of place. Exchange vows in the intimate Chapel, beneath the iconic Sweetwater sign in it’s Forecourt, or in front of the historic Castle Gates. Move from your ceremony to a seated reception in the Chapel, the open-air Amphitheatre, or beneath a marquee with water and vineyard views. Each space designed to create an unforgettable dining experience.
The estate is yours for two nights, with private use of the grounds, exclusive access to selected ceremony and reception locations and on-site accommodation.
Every wedding is delivered by the team behind Muse Restaurant, ensuring the same standard of food and hospitality that defines our dining room is brought to every moment of the day.

Accommodation
Two private accommodation offerings are included within your venue hire.
Wedding Suite
2 guests | included in venue hire
A luxurious suite set above the Chapel, with sweeping views across the estate and an expansive ensuite featuring a limestone bathtub you won't want to leave.
Gatehouse
4 guests | included in venue hire
A self-contained residence with two bedrooms, a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry, designed for the wedding party or family to settle in comfortably across both nights.
Adjoining Property
36 guests | booked separately
We have partnered with an adjoining property to accommodate your guests with a homestead, selection of villas and pool. Private internal access and transfers coordinated by our team on your wedding day. The property is currently undergoing an incredible renovation, ready in time for September 2026. Not included in the venue hire.
A considered selection of boutique lodges, luxury hotels and private villas are also available nearby and throughout the Hunter Valley.

Your wedding is delivered exclusively by Muse Restaurant, who oversee the complete food and beverage experience. External catering is not permitted, with the exception of specialty wedding cakes.
We don’t allow for BYO alcohol for your wedding. You have the choice of two beverage packages alongside additional upgrades. Please contact us to view our complete wedding package. -
A marquee is required for events over 55 guests to provide a reliable weather contingency and ensure guest comfort. For smaller weddings, the Chapel serves as the wet weather option.

The Wedding Suite strictly accommodates two guests and the Gatehouse accommodates four guests. We have partnered with an adjoining property to accommodate 36 guests. If the couple would prefer to stay separately the night before, linen service can be arranged at an additional cost.

Breakfast is not included in your venue hire, however curated breakfast hampers can be arranged for guests staying on site at an additional cost.

Access to the estate is reserved for your wedding day. For a welcome dinner, we recommend hosting your guests at Muse Restaurant in one of our private dining spaces, or arranging an event at the adjoining accommodation.

Yes. We have two dedicated carparks with 50 car spaces available.
Guest transport to and from Sweetwater Estate is recommended, particularly for evening celebrations. Shuttle services and private transfers may be arranged through your planner or trusted local providers, with support from our Venue Coordinator as required.

Children are most welcome, with tailored food and beverage options available. As the estate is home to an array of wildlife and open dams, children must be supervised at all times.

Pets are permitted for the ceremony only. Following the ceremony, they must be taken offsite or remain under the supervision of a handler, on leash or contained. This ensures the safety of the estate's wildlife, guests and your pets.

Sweetwater Estate is reserved exclusively for couples hosting their full wedding experience with Muse at Sweetwater. Photography-only bookings are not offered.

Events conclude at 11:30pm, with all guests required to depart the estate by this time. Last drinks are served at 11:00pm.

Private estate visits are available by appointment on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, offering the opportunity to experience the beauty of the estate in person. Please contact us to receive our wedding package and book your estate visit.
